Ideal Concepts’ 6th Annual Holiday Gift Drive

More than $7,000 in donations was collected for those in need

Ideal Concepts successfully completed its 6th annual Holiday Gift Drive benefiting local children and families in need! At least 69 Ideal Concepts employees, agents, friends, and family members donated more than $7,000 in gifts for the kids of Bethany Children’s Home, the Children’s Home of Easton, the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley, and Crime Victims Council of the Lehigh Valley.

Our generous donors helped provide gifts for all 48 kids who live at Bethany long-term and 27 children who reside at the Children’s Home of Easton. We also contributed 40 Holiday Hope Chests that are being distributed through the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley. Plus, we were able to donate gifts to 11 children of families that are involved with the Crime Victims Council of the Lehigh Valley!

Every year, Ideal Concepts gets a list of kids from Bethany Children’s Home (BCH) in Womelsdorf, PA. Bethany, established in 1863, provides a safe and nurturing living environment for children who are unable to be in their own homes. While BCH historically has hosted children as young as 5 years old, right now the kids range from 12-20 years old.

There were fewer kids in Bethany’s care this year due to the pandemic, but that didn’t mean there were fewer kids in need! Ideal Concepts was happy to add the Children’s Home of Easton (CHE) to our list of recipients. Originally “The Easton Home for Friendless Children” in 1885, CHE provides food, clothing, and shelter for kids without a home. Today, kids ages 2 to 20 are placed in the home.

Ideal Concepts also contributed Holiday Hope Chests to the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley. These boxes are distributed to children in need around the Valley through various nonprofit organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Pediatric Cancer Foundation, and the Salvation Army.

Lastly, we gave gifts to 11 kids through the Crime Victims Council of the Lehigh Valley. It’s a nonprofit that provides support and services to victims of all violence, their families, and significant others throughout Northampton and Lehigh Counties. Services include hotlines, counseling, prevention education, and court advocacy.
